Segments
Segments are saved filters that slice your feedback in consistent, reusable ways, and they connect to your organisational hierarchy so you can report by team or unit.
Saved filters
A segment captures a set of filter conditions under a name, so you don't have to rebuild the same filter every time. Once saved, a segment can be applied across reporting and the responses console to focus on a particular slice of feedback.
On the Segments page you can:
- List your saved segments.
- Create a new segment from a set of conditions.
- Edit a segment's name or conditions.
- Delete segments you no longer use.
Managing segments requires the account.manage permission.
Organisational hierarchy
Segments work alongside your organisational hierarchy — a tree of subscribers (organisational units) connected by parent/child relationships. The hierarchy lets you roll feedback up from individual units to broader groupings, so a regional manager can see their whole region while a team lead sees just their team.
Using segments
Apply a segment wherever you filter feedback to instantly scope dashboards, reports, and response lists to that segment's definition. Because segments are saved centrally, everyone uses the same definitions, which keeps reporting consistent across your client account.
