In-context AI assists
The AI assists are ten one-click helpers that appear next to the thing you're working on. Each pulls the data it needs through the normal services (so your survey scope and permissions apply), makes a single AI call, and shows you the result in a side sheet. You copy what you want — nothing is written to your data until you choose to use it.
Who can use them
- The
aifeature flag must be on (system admin, Configure → Features). - Each assist also checks the permission relevant to its data (for example, summarise
verbatims needs
verbatim.view; triage alert needsalerts.view).
The ten assists

How to use one
- Click the AI button next to the item. A side sheet opens.
- The assist gathers its data (this is why it respects your scope), calls the AI, and shows the result. If the data is empty or the AI is unavailable it fails loudly with a clear message — no silent half-result.
- Use Copy to take what you want into the field you were working in.
:::note These are advisory The assists produce drafts and suggestions, never automatic writes. A suggested topic still has to be created by you; a drafted reply still has to be sent by you. They speed up the work, they don't do it blind. :::
