Competitor benchmarking
Competitor benchmarking places your own scores next to a curated public-sector cohort so you can see how you compare. The cohort data is sourced from published, publicly-available benchmarks (for example, regulators' published sector averages) — it is not other VOC clients' private data.
Who can use it
- The
benchmarkingfeature flag must be on (system admin, Configure → Features). - You need the
benchmark.viewpermission, included in the Manager and Analyst roles.
What you see
- Your placement — your NPS (and other metrics) plotted against the cohort, with the cohort's distribution shown so you can see where you sit (top quartile, median, etc.).
- Caveats — where the comparison is approximate (different survey wording, sample size, date window), the AI surfaces a short note so you don't over-read a small difference.
- Sector selection — choose the cohort that matches your sector. Sectors without a dataset yet are flagged "coverage coming soon".
:::note Anonymity Your own placement uses the same anonymity threshold as the rest of analytics — a metric over too few responses is suppressed rather than shown. The cohort data is aggregate-only. :::
