Short URLs
A short URL turns a long survey link into a compact, shareable slug. Short links are friendlier in SMS messages, easier to read aloud, and ideal for QR codes and printed materials.
Where short URLs come from
- Automatically — when a survey is sent over SMS as a link, Davies CXsmart generates a short URL for it.
- Manually — on the Short URLs page you can shorten any target URL yourself.
Managing short URLs
Open Short URLs (also available under Admin) to:
- See your links — each entry shows its short slug and the target URL it points to.
- Shorten a new URL — paste a target URL into the form to mint a new short link.
- Copy a short link to the clipboard.
- View click counts — see how many times each short link has been followed.
- Remove links you no longer need.
How they resolve
When someone opens a short link, Davies CXsmart looks up the slug and redirects them to the full survey URL, recording the click as it goes.
Tips
- Short links are great for QR codes — generate a code from the short URL and put it on receipts, posters, or packaging.
- For phone conversations, a short link is easy for an agent to read out. ADEPT's web mode produces exactly this kind of link. See ADEPT.
